DISCLAIMER: I would like to preface this post by saying that I'm not one to really buy into the whole thing about horoscopes. I believe on one level, they are extremely entertaining and fun. I do think that the personality profiles of the different aspects of the zodiac are really interesting, though and they tend to be oddly accurate.
Still and all, I don't buy into them. So please don't feel as if I'm shitting on your beliefs of horoscopes and astrology. This is not an attack on this subject - End of Disclaimer

I had a friend tell me recently that she did NOT believe in horoscopes and that I should conduct this personal test. To read my horoscope at the end of the day and you will see how far off it really is. I told her that I wasn't about to do that since it wasn't that important to me that it turned out either way.
Still, she ventured off into an anti-astrology/horoscope rant that went along the lines of: "The idea that the position in the sky of various celestial bodies can have a profound effect on the personalities, careers, relationships and finances of one species on one planet in one star system? C'mon Frank!"
"Yeah!!! Come on! What's not to believe?!" I came back at her.
And we laughed.
We continued on the subject of course. We both agreed that Astrology itself is NOT a religion and rather it is the study of planetary motion and the correlation of those to our life here on Earth. This was explained to me and carefully dissected in great detail back in High School.
Yet and all, this same friend came back at me about 3 weeks later pulling out a page from a magazine of hers to give to me with a nice moderately long dittee about Gemini's. I read it and obviously applied what I had read with myself in mind.
Then I also applied it to the other Gemini's that I know. And yeah, the results were pretty impressive. Here's what I gathered about the points having to do with me.
GEMINI: Your sign is that of witty Gemini, the third sign of the zodiac. The sign that is characterized by communication. Geminis are very intellectual individuals, and are forever interested in broadening their horizon - they are eternal students!
TRUE: I love to talk and run my mouth. But while I may monopolize a conversation, it's actually the feedback that I live for and the interaction from a variety of conversations. Not to mention, I love engaging in a myriad of subjects.
Besides artistic, I think if a person was to be posed this; in one word, describe Mista Cage, they would probably say: communicative or any variation dealing with speech and conversing.
I'm always in broadening mode listening to audiobooks about initializing change for the better in oneself, asking questions to others on how can I be a better person to friends, how can I tone this down or bring this up, how do I temper my enthusiasm and/ or my frustrations? I figure, I'll forever be a work in a progress.

-----
Mercury; The planet of communication, rules your sign, and makes you an articulate and versatile person. You are outgoing and sociable, and due to your lively attitude, you are the born entertainer. Clever and ingenious, you usually get what you want with your charm and wit.
First of the three air signs, you are a dexterous, multifaceted, and flexible individual. As the most diverse and eloquent sign of the zodiac, you crave mental stimulation above all.Your curiosity, combined with your ability to synthesize information, makes you the messenger of knowledge and information.
TRUE: That was a load to take in. All above, again with me in mind are virtually true. There goes that communication word again and on top of that: articulate. Versatility, dexterous and flexible are all in my hot zone as well. I'm rarely locked into any one thing, but if I am, I am also willing to compromise if it will help me to meet my objective as well as the next person's with little loss to myself.
I'm very attracted to the notion of mental stimulation and the part that focuses on synthesizing information makes me the messenger of knowledge and that info. Whew! How can I not like that one?

As a Gemini, you rule the third house, the sector of your chart that describes how you perceive, process, and communicate facts. It also has to do with short journeys, siblings, neighbors, and anything within arm's reach.
Your sign is a mutable sign, responsible for keeping information flowing. You are gifted in adapting to situations and making compromises. Of all the zodiac signs, you are the peacemaker and troubleshooter who actively finds solutions to tricky situations.

TRUE: I so badly want to dispute the things that I've read here, but it's hard to and I'd be doing that just to be doing it. I'm bred for war, but I'm a peacemaker first. In fact, one of my weaknesses depending on who you talk to is my inability to put the troubleshooter side "aside" and then act out on my reactionary impulses.
Lil bro says I let people off the hook too easily, especially when they've got the wrath coming to them.
The diplomatic route is my motto first, but he feels as though I use this too often. Maybe I do. But I'm no punk. You funk with me, I'll release the hounds and much like the tagline to my blog, be prepared to reap the whirlwind.
If you listen to someone tell me about something, chances are you will actively hear me engaging in a way to find alternative reasons for why something happened or why it could not be helped happening in this way.
Tricky situations seem to come in abundance. Mostly, not of my doing. But I take them on as best as I can. I think I've been fortunate as to how I handle them and their ensuing outcome. My boss calls me her fixit man.
While I hate the label, I understand where it comes from. I just hate that it's applied to me as often as it is. Gifted in adapting to situations, yeah, I guess that is me.

Your strengths, dear Gemini, lie in your cleverness, inquisitiveness, and openness to exploring new ideas. Once you have found something that interests you, you proceed with logic andscientific precision.
However, as soon as you've consumed a subject, you are also able to switch your focus to a new topic. With your naturally practical and skilled approach, you excel in whatever you put your mind to.
One of your main weaknesses is that you can be shallow and hypocritical in your dealings with others. You can confuse people with your unpredictability and cynical attitude, and they might not trust you completely.
Since your brain works so quickly, you tend to be nervous, restless, and anxious, which sometimes leaves you highly irritated.
TRUE & FALSE: Okay, I can be clever and there's a detail-oriented side to me that wants as much information that I need in order to accomplish something or to maybe understanding why this is this way or why a person may behave in the way that they do.
From jump, I've always been open to trying new things because if you look at my last post, mundane things bore me. So there's a foray into the thrill side of things that keep me entertained and interested.
The key is to maintain interest in something or else, yeah I can lose interest in it. But I would suspect that's true for MOST people right? Then there's the okay I'm done with this, now I want to do that point that is detailed highly here.

I look at when I built my computer a few years ago from scratch. Heck, I was ready to move onto building servers and a car engine, but I stalled on that. Yet, the passion was still there. I'm never content on settling on any one thing, even if I've mastered it.
I see this in my art. Line work, penciilling, inking should have done it for me. Then I went into airbrushing and oil painting. Then, even going as far as incorporating the 2 which is unheard of.
And don't get me started on the part where it states that my "brain works so quickly" part of that passage. I've heard this several times in the past few years. The nervous part is not me, nor is the cynicism that is pointed out. But let's be real.
There's got to be a margin for error and even coming as close as this text did, ranking high in the good ol' Cage-o-meter must mean that it's on point right? Depends on how one looks at it. But I'll give it this. I have been thinking about it quite a bit since I read it and this is only 1 of 2 that I've read since my birthday.
And while I'm not ready to conveniently build my day around what I've read here, it does provide a form of amusement and even brings a smile to my face. There is plenty that is left out of here of course. The Gemini's I know including me can leave folks confused, bewildered by their actions, and can even be serpentine and sinuous like.
Especially those June Gemini's (which I'm proud to say that I am not -smile) Collectively, some of us can be quite selfish, especially the artistic ones, focusing on the art and pushing everything else to the side. Even loved ones and responsibilities.
Going further, there is the very deceptive side as well. So good at deceipt that some Gemini's don't even know that's what they are doing and tend to feel like it's totally justified to do some of the things they do. Or as Mama Mia will say, "Frank you can be so chameleonic." -smile- Then again, who the hell knows right? All this gibberish about something that cannot even be proven. Or can it? Either way, shit it's pretty fun to entertain the thoughts isn't it?
So how about you my fellow readers and bloggers? Are YOU like your astrological sign? Let us hear you loud and clear folks. And while you're doing that, sit back and relax, drink and be merry and have a great and safe weekend!
