Welcome to my
bio section. This is the area where I'm supposed to go on and on about all of
the stuff that I've accomplished artistically. So, what can I tell you that I think will keep you interested
in reading this 300 word personal info about me? I guess I can start from the beginning. From the moment I could
hold a pencil, I was off and running. I've never imagined myself being anything other than an artist.
When I was about 10 years old, one of my older sisters purchased a Marvel Treasury Edition of the Mighty Thor for
me as a Christmas gift. Man, that was it. I was instantly hooked to comic books from then on. From the stories and the characters, and from the writers and colorists, I was turned out.
But personally and more directly, it was all about the artwork.
Truthfully, I never looked back. My earlier aspirations was to be a comic book penciler. The geek in me had a artist-crush on the pencilers
of my time. The Gil Kanes (RIP),
Neal Adams,
John Byrnes and George Perez' of the comic book world left me dazzled with their artwork and
I set out to be just like them.
Many submissions later, I didn't break into the field as I'd hoped and thus,
settled into expanding my forte beyond penciling.
I began toiling at airbrushing at the insistance of my brother. Would I be airbrushing
today if it weren't for him? Hard to tell because I was always interested in expanding my artistic horizons. After all, I later picked up
oil painting and goauche without any prodding from anyone, but my true love, my foundation was in airbrushing.
Now my visionary marvels are Boris Vallejo & Julie Bell, Dorian Clevenger, Toni
Taylor,Ernie Barnes, Kadir Nelson and John Nelson. Masters
of oil paints and such, with attention and deft craftsmanship to anatomy. I had fallen in love all over again. Amazingly enough, not one
of them dabble with the airbrush.
As a specialist in airbrushing, I attempt to captivate my audience by displaying my enthusiasm through my art.
With over thirty-six years of drawing experience and 18 years solely devoted as an airbrush artist under my belt, I’m able to present a wealth of
techniques and artistic strategies for developing my next piece of art. For both myself and the respective client.
I have no formal training in airbrushing. I'm self-taught and I basically learned it “in the trenches” so to speak. And in addition to that, I easily
go back to penciling, oil painting, portrait artwork and computer design from time to time. But all day everyday, it's airbrushing 24/7.
And this website is an artistic testimonial to my abilities. So sit back and enjoy Fantasy Beyond. And remember to invite a friend or two as well.
